NICE! Great to see Devon's presentation! I have an external 5.25" Amiga floppy but I was thinking that, with no Bridge card, it would not be useful. This reminded me that I actually used Transformer briefly in the late 80s to run SPICE (Circuit Emulator) for school but it was so slow that I ended up just using the lab PCs at school

I forgot to mention my Gotek in that presentation. :)

graphics on the mega64 were way better

I had 5.25 drive in my Amiga 500 in the early 90ties. Big disks was much cheaper and worked fine formated in standard 880kb.

1: Adorable when she said she had never even used the mega 64 2: I live near where this happened and didn't even know this was happening, or that this org existed.

This product evolved from an emulator that Simile Research was shopping around to all of the 68000 computer vendors, e.g. there was a version for the Tandy 6000 systems, and they had made an accellerator board for it (based on options shown in the beta version of the software), but to this date has never been confirmed to even been built. (Simile Research was basically a software engineer and a business guy working out of the home)

I just realised what you are trying to do! You trying to use MS-Dos on an Amiga?! Why? You guys were so tethered to Microsoft stuff for work! CrossDos and a RTF capable Word Processor was enough for most work/university course uses!

Buying a Mega65 is now cheaper than buying a professionally refurbished Amiga 1200 with “standard” peripherals.

Awesome collection and wonderful man. Just hearing him raw and honest makes me suddenly want an A1222+ again. You can tell he tried hard and gave it all to make this work and is just exhausted and happy the product is finally out. Happy with the result, apologetic about the price. Tons of respect.

The first ever computer I used was a Commodore PET 2001 series with the original naff keypad. My Dad would bring one home from work to learn on, I spent most of the time on it and I learnt BASIC at 10 years old, even wrote a few simple games.

I met this wonderful man in 2015 in Amsterdam after Amiga 30 along with David Pleasance / David Haynie / RJ Mical when we all went out for drinks and nibbles in the evening. For me as a life-long Amiga fan a truly magical evening.
